An anonymous birthday in himalayas!

Birthdays are special, and mine this year was a super special one for that was the day I started my ascend towards one of the world’s highest climbable mountains.

Stok Kangri (elevation 6,153 m) is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India. At 20k feet, the white peak stands tall and proud welcoming all those who are determined enough to summit even it means literally crawling in between the feeble breaths. Every single evening of the 9 days expedition – I questioned and doubted if I would be able to make it to the top; but then a refreshing good night’s sleep coupled with support of my amazing companions at #BurnBoundaries brought back the one day one step at a time regime. And here I am, proudly posting pictures! 🙂

It is a happy feeling to be able to stand on that height in nerve chilling cold and still feel the warmth of having achieved something you thought was out of bounds for you – yes, happy birthday to me!
